Before there was Boulder Brim,
there was always a hat…
What began as a personal creative pursuit for founder Rebecca — a Boulder local of more than 20 years — soon evolved into something more. Through formal training with master hat makers and ongoing mentorship, she immersed herself in the art of hat shaping, studying the fit, form, and proportion that transform a hat from something simply worn into something that feels truly your own.
As word spread, the hats she shaped for friends and neighbors quickly found a wider audience. Clients discovered what Rebecca already knew: that the right hat, shaped and styled to accentuate your features, suit your coloring, and reflect your style can shift not only how you look, but how you feel. And the fact that you get sun protection is an added bonus!
Today, Boulder Brim has grown into a collaborative hat-shaping experience — from private fittings at the downtown Boulder studio to events and activations across Colorado — shaping, making, and honoring the story behind every brim.

Rebecca, founder of Boulder Brim, has called Boulder home for more than 20 years. Inspired by the creative spirit and sense of belonging that define our beloved town, she creates hats that are both beautifully functional and deeply personal — wearable pieces designed to be lived in and loved for years to come.
Her design approach centers on storytelling — weaving sentimental elements into each piece through cherished heirlooms, repurposed jewelry, and her curated collection of vintage trinkets and salvaged treasures.
Trained through hands-on mentorship, Rebecca specializes in shaping hats for true fit and form, helping even the most self-proclaimed “not-a-hat-person” skeptics discover a silhouette that complements their features and feels unmistakably their own.
